After cutting most of the extra epoxy with the trusty old Dremel (the new ones are plastic crap!) I proceeded to sand and sand away from 80 to 1200 grit until the shape fit my template.The hip is now smooth and polished and feels great to the touch. I think I will use it instead of wood since I think it has the proper weight. Once assembled I will know if the total weight is not too much for the medium servos that I plan to use.
After finishing this stage of the hip I will need to drill and install attachment points for the legs and the waist, which is the next piece.
